I’m kind of like a kid at Christmas this morning. I’m awaiting the arrival of the FedEx truck, hence the reference to “The Wells-Fargo Wagon” From Meredith Wilson’s “The Music Man,” with “somethin’ special” for me.
I’m still using an old computer here that I bought in 2001. I’ve upgraded a number of things on it through the years and it is still quite functional, but in computer years it is a dinosaur. Given when it was built, its USB ports are version 1.1. What I am awaiting this morning is the arrival of a PCI USB 2.0 card and a USB 2.0 hub that I ordered the other day to upgrade the system a bit more. (Yeah, I know. I’m easily pleased.)
Maybe I’ll report back later, after I’ve gotten these things installed.
Update: The new gear arrived this afternoon at around 3:15 P.M. and I got it installed with no problems. It is working nicely, I’m pleased to say.
